Adrián López

Adrián López has a degree in Intercultural Development and Management from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) with a specialisation in Science, Technology and Society. Since 2012, he has been collaborating with and coordinating educational projects in rural communities. Currently, he is completing a Master's degree in Rural Development at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) in Mexico, focusing the research on training processes for technological autonomy. He works for Redes por la Diversidad, Equidad y Sustentabilidad A.C. (REDES A.C.) and collaborates with Rhizomatica and APC in the Local Networks initiative as the capacity building regional coordinator in Latin America and the Caribbean. He also collaborates with the Tosepan Union of Cooperatives in the construction of community telecommunications in the Sierra Norte de Puebla (Mexico), and was an advisor for the first mobile operator run by a social organisation and Indigenous community, Wiki Katat.
