The Association for Progressive Communications (APC) has developed a framework that is a good starting point to understand states’ existing commitments to gender equality and how to shape gender-responsive cybersecurity policy that is consistent with these commitments. We aim to help you craft recommendations, depending on the current level of maturity of cybersecurity laws and policies in your country.
This three-part framework seeks to support policy makers and civil society organisations by providing practical guidance for developing gender-responsive cybersecurity policies, laws and strategies. It aims to contribute to the various stakeholders interested in the contributions of a gender approach to cybersecurity to find a theoretical background that can support their policies and actions.
Join us at the 2023 RightsCon online session “A framework for developing gender-responsive cybersecurity policy”
In this online session we will launch the third and final part of the framework: an assessment tool that can help you identify concrete recommendations to policy makers, depending on the stage of maturity of national policies in your country.
When: Thursday 8 June, from 16:15 to 17:15 UTC (or 10:15 to 11:15 Costa Rica time).
Where: (you need to register to RightsCon first)
