Adriane Gama
Adriane Panduro Gama holds a graduate degree in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Pará (UFPA). She has a specialisation in Society, Environment and Sustainable Development of Amazonia and another in Environmental Education with emphasis on Sustainable Educator Spaces. She holds a Master's degree in Education from the Federal University of Western Pará (Ufopa) and is currently a PhD student in the Society, Nature and Development field at UFOPA, participating in the PRAXIS research group at the same university.
Adriane has experience in several areas of education with an emphasis on art education, edu-communication, environmental education and media activism. She has also been working with non-governmental organisations and academic institutions on teacher training, youth and adolescent leadership, educational technology, educational practices and languages. She is a student of the Paulo Freire school of thought (a Brazilian author who is a reference in popular education). Currently, Adriane is acting as an articulating agent for community networks in the Amazon region for the Saúde & Alegria Project in Santarém, Pará.
