Lilian Achom

Lilian Achom is a tech enthusiast with extensive experience in advocating for inclusive access and use of ICTs, establishing and managing community networks, capacity development, project management and accountability. Ugandan by nationality, Lillian believes an information and communications technology (ICT)-empowered society brings about more opportunities for employment, economic growth and better livelihoods. She has worked with grassroots communities, consultants and service providers in different countries at national and local levels.

In her previous role as the project manager at AFCHIX, Lillian led the implementation of the project that profiled African women in computing role models and the AFCHIX-USAID Women Connect Challenge, a project focused on establishing four, women-led community networks (CNs) and provided internet services to women (and men) in rural and peri-urban communities of Kenya, Namibia, Senegal and Morocco. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems (CIS) from Africa University in Zimbabwe. She is based in Uganda.
