What: Updates on APC network's initiatives related to community networks
Who: APC members and APC staff involved in APC Local Networks project and in other initiatives related to community networks.

There has been new additions to the APC staff, plus three interns from Alternatives that will be joining APC soon. One of them will be dedicated to providing specific support for APC's work on community networks. APC team is organising a webinar so the new staff and interns can be introduced to the topic and to what we have been working on within the Local Access Networks project.

There is much more about community networks in APC than the work that the staff is coordinating, and there are many members working on the topic, some of them using the APC sub-grants program. A second webinar will be organised with updates from members on their work in this area. It will take place on August 27th, Monday, also at 14:00 UTC . Details about this webinar will be circulated on [apc.members] list.

The contributions should be ideally planned for 5 to 10 minutes, and the format expected are informal updates about members' work.
