What: Updates on APC network's initiatives related to community networks
Who: APC members and APC staff involved in initiatives related to community networks.
For whom: For APC members and staff only.
On 10 August 2018, APC hosted a webinar on community networks to share updates about our IDRC funded local access project.
The webinar was well-received, with LOCNET team members speaking on various issues related to their project, beginning with an introduction to community networks, their findings on techno-economical models and the social and gender impact of their work as well as the global regulatory framework around community networks and their push for open telecom data.
Given that many of our members work with issues related to local access and community networks, it would be a great opportunity to hear different perspectives on this topic from our members in a follow-up webinar. This webinar will cover updates from members on their work in this area, and on latest developments in the field.
APC members interested to contribute to the webinar should send an email to Carlos, carlos@apc...., and enter the details of their presentation to https://share.apc.org/index.php/s/zwrFiGKBPj3nPNL – Password has been shared on [apc.members] list.
The contributions should be ideally planned for 5 to 10 minutes, and the format that is expected are informal updates about members' work or their last learnings about developments in the community networking field.
How to join
The webinar will take place in APC Zoom. You can join it through this link https://zoom.us/j/196291156 .
