Joseph Bishi
Joseph Bishi is a Zimbabwean-born young man raised in Murambinda. He is passionate about bridging the digital gap between urban and rural communities utilising the bottom-up model in building self-sustaining community networks and promoting the development of relevant local content. He started this by training the local community through computer literacy courses.
With support from the Internet Society, he is currently the implementer of a project building a 40-km-radius community network with Murambinda Works, connecting schools, government offices and the nurses training school in Buhera District. He has participated in three African Community Networks Summits organised by the Internet Society in the past three years as a speaker and as an organiser of the 2018 and 2019 Summits. He has participated in various Internet Governance Forums organised nationally in Zimbabwe.
