The Latin American and Caribbean Internet Governance Forum - LACIGF, is a regional initiative of multistakeholder dialogue on relevant issues of Internet governance and digital policies, which has been held since 2008, bringing together participants from across Latin America and the Caribbean, promoting the diversity of participants and approaches, to capture the multiplicity of identities, visions and perspectives present in the region.

As of July 17, 2024, we call on the entire community interested in Internet governance in Latin America and the Caribbean to propose sessions for the 17th LACIGF 2024, to be held in Santiago de Chile in November of the same year. These sessions should promote multi-sectoral debate with the participation of the private sector, technical community, civil society, government and academia on the key Internet governance issues defined by the Latin American and Caribbean community this year:
  • Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technologies.
  • Human Rights
  • Cybersecurity
  • Universal access and meaningful connectivity
  • Digital governance and cooperation
  • Environment and sustainability
  • Education and digital literacy
  • Gender and diversity
  • Ethical and legal challenges.

You may propose different types of sessions until August 21, 2024, taking into account the evaluation criteria defined in the call, detailing the proposal clearly and concisely, and submitting it completely through the available form.

We invite you to submit your session proposal and participate in this edition of LACIGF 2024.
