The Asia Pacific Regional Internet Governance Forum (APrIGF) is a key regional event on internet governance. With the multistakeholder approach as a core principle, it emphasises diversity of participants and openness of discussions to advance internet governance development in the Asia Pacific region. This year’s edition will be held in Taipei, Taiwan in hybrid format from 21-23 August with the overarching theme of “Evolving Ecosystems, Enduring Principles: Shaping Responsible Internet Governance”.

Digital Rights in the Asia-Pacific 2024 (DRAPAC24) is an event that aims to foster resilience and solidarity within the digital rights community. Organised by APC network member EngageMedia, it will also be held in Taipei, Taiwan on August 18-19 just before APrIGF.

The APC network will be participating in both events in multiple capacities, with the objectives of building on the momentum of its recent Community Gathering in Thailand, influencing the APrIGF synthesis document, and planning ahead for other collective engagements. In its involvement, APC emphasises policy engagement at the APrIGF and movement building at DRAPAC24. Key issues and priorities include the Global Digital Compact, WSIS+20, disinformation, cybersecurity, sustainability and AI.

We invite you to browse the schedule of our participation below to find out where we will be engaging, and add the sessions to your calendar.
