Poncelet O. Ileleji is a computer scientist from The Gambia with more than 20 years of experience in the field.

He has been involved with the use of information and communication technology (ICT) as a tool for sustainable development as a lecturer, researcher and consultant for The Gambia YMCA, where he is the coordinator of the Computer Training Centre and Digital Studio. He has also served as a consultant for several projects in Africa covering ICT for development, learning, technologies and education, internet governance and health informatics. He served as an international coordinator for the International YMCA of New York and as the country coordinator for the World Links for Development Program in The Gambia during its implementation in the country from 2001 to 2005. 

Poncelet is a member of the British Computer Society, a fellow of MirandaNet and a founding member of the Information Technology Association of The Gambia. He is also the national resource person for the West African Internet Governance Forum, a former board member of the Africa ICT Alliance, and a member of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). He is an adviser to The Gambia's Ministry of Information and Communication Infrastructure and served on the Freedom Online Coalition's Working Group 3 – Privacy and Transparency Online.
