Aims of the Workshop

This not-for-profit workshop will bring together experts from academia, government and industry. Its ultimate aim is to facilitate and accelerate inclusion of 100-million people living in rural communities into Global Information Society and global market through better use of available resources and harmonization of national regulations to avoid digital divide.
Specifically, its purpose is:

* to share innovative experiences and solutions related to broadband access to Internet in rural and remote areas * to discuss key issues in the development, implementation, and regulation of broadband access in rural and remote areas * to initiate closer collaboration among organizations and individuals involved
